Allen R. Lueking

DVM

Dr. Allen R. Lueking is a graduate of Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine.

He practiced Veterinary Medicine full time in Sullivan and Linton, Indiana for 42 years before retiring. He has practiced part-time since retirement and still enjoys working with his patients and clients.

Dr. Lueking received the Purdue Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2000. He is Past President of the IVMA and was President and served 8 years on the Indiana Board of Medical Examiners, Veterinary Licensing Board. In 1999, he initiated required Continuing Education in Indiana for Veterinarians. The IVMA presented Dr. Lueking with the “One Wellness Award” for his extra ordinary care or service in improving the welfare of Indiana animals as a Veterinarian.

Presently, Dr. Lueking is a founder and Board member of the Humane Society of Sullivan County, Indiana. He donates spays and neuters on a regular basis.

Dr. Lueking has served his community in many capacities to improve the education and general welfare of the county through the organizations he has been associated with over the 54 years.

Dr. Lueking has 5 children and 10 grandchildren and two rescue dogs.

Meghann Jerden

DVM

Dr. Meghann Jerden received her undergraduate degree at Greenville University in Greenville, IL with a major in Environmental Biology. During this time, she also completed a behavior research internship at the Saint Louis Zoo. The internship involved observing and recording the social behaviors of the Grevy’s Zebra herd as well as various antelope mothers with their newborns. She attended veterinary school at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. While there, she enjoyed working at the Veterinary Diagnostic Lab in the Histology department.

She enjoys working with all species of animals and loves the people she meets in rural practice. She has a particular interest in feline behavior and medicine and also enjoys backyard poultry medicine. Her current pets include a Basset Hound named Fred, a Painted Turtle named Mr. Turtle, and three cats named Melvin, Mia, and Baby Kitten. She also enjoys raising chickens and geese at her mini farm in Effingham, IL. Prior to joining the team at Robinson Hospital for Animals, she was an associate veterinarian at another mixed animal practice. In addition to veterinary medicine, her interests include boating, fishing, camping, gardening, and playing video games.
